The Dorion Volunteer Fire Department and the Township of Dorion mailed out a flyer to every household in Dorion on April 15th, 2024 to inform the citizens of Dorion on the status of the Fire Department and response capability. 

Additional Volunteers, that can be trained, are NEEDED if Dorion Volunteer Fire Department is to maintain the ability to safely respond to any emergencies.

Notice is hereby given that effective Monday, March 18th, 2024, at 6:00 a.m., half-load restrictions will apply on all municipal roads within the Township of Dorion and will continue until further notice.

Volunteer Firefighter Recruitment
UPDATE - APRIL 2024


The Dorion Volunteer Fire Department and the Township of Dorion want to inform citizens of Dorion on the status of the Fire Department.  Please be sure to read the updated "Volunteer Firefighter Recruitment" notice that was mailed out to every household in Dorion on April 15th, 2024. 

There are currently four (4) active members on the department and additional Volunteers, that can be trained, are NEEDED if the Dorion Volunteer Fire Department is to maintain the ability to safely respond to any emergencies. 

All required training will be provided.


HOW TO APPLY

Applicants are encouraged to complete an Application Form which can be picked up at the Township of Dorion Municipal Office, during regular business hours, or please click here to download the form. Completed applications can be dropped off at the Municipal Office or
left in the Township of Dorion Drop Box.
